The independent publishing world has changed so much since I joined it in 2004, but one thing that has remained constant is the immeasurable value of support from friends and family. Year after year, decade after decade, my work has been sustained by the efforts of others, from purchasing and reviewing books to simply liking posts on Instagram.

Some of those people are independent artists like myself or own small businesses. The very least I can do is offer them the same support they gave me. To that end, here is a list of indie artists and small businesses you should check out. If you end up talking to them, go ahead and drop my name. You'll either get a discount or be asked politely but firmly to leave.
