TBR - July 2024
I haven’t read… like sat down and opened a book… in months. I’ve listened to Dune and Sure I’ll Join Your Cult, but there really is no time for casual reading these days. But, this is normal, and part of an effort not to let other, better books influence a work in progress. Once House of Nepenthe is off to beta readers, there will be time to attack the TBR pile.
Which is why I have no problem adding to that pile with wild abandon! My July / Mid-August haul includes:
- The Essential Rumi - using a poem for HoN epigraph
- A Stir of Echoes - a great Kevin Bacon horror flick
- What Dreams May Come - a great Robin Williams flick
- Episode Thirteen - a highly recommended ghost-hunter novel
- Shards of Earth - a book club recommendation
- Behind Blue Eyes - an Instagram reel buy from @annamocikat
- The Boys - the inspiration for the stupidest and most awesome show on Amazon Prime at the moment
Looking forward to tearing through these later this year.
Have you read any of these? Any 👍🏼?
